I’ve recently begun exploring Paganism and in these explorations I’ve come across "kitchen witch" and "green witch" several times. I finally looked into both and I find them very interesting and right up my alley. But I haven’t been able to find very much information.
Does anyone have some suggestions for more information on these paths that don’t involve cookbooks (unless that’s it)? Every bit is helpful and thanks!
We’re getting to the stage in our DIY house build where we’re making finish decisions. We’ve decided to go with a wood counter top in our cottage style kitchen. We initially decided on applying a marine grade poly to seal the surface of the counter top. Now I’m wondering if we should go with an oiled finish (linseed oil). I don’t plan on using the tops for cutting, but we will be using them for food prep (rolling out cookie dough, being one direct contact thing we’ll definitely do). What would be the best finish??? I really love the primitive look of peeling paint and such, so a perfect, shiny finish is not a "must have" for me.
Thanks in advance for the awesome advice I know I’ll receive.
we have a reasonable sized kitchen, white gloss units ,dark worktop(black) and small square wall tiles in cream, beige and black.
I am having a very dark wood floor put down very dark brown.

I’m moving into a gorgeous little cottage rental and need some help: my landlord gave me permission to paint, wallpaper, whatever, and my kitchen seriously needs it. It’s got a retro look to it with the cupboards, counters, and tile, but there’s a long wall of nothing but dark wood paneling and a single window. Any ideas on how to improve this while maintaining the retro look? Thanks!
i want to decorate my bedroom country/cottage styled and i cant find any good pictures of country/cottage styled bedrooms. If you could post some good sites that would be great, thanks:)

Thanks for you reply’s!!! I really apprecaite it!!
The cabinets are oak stain (thinking of painting them white). The counter tops are beige. All my kitchen accessories are pink and green. For example, I have this pink mixer: http://www.kitchenaid.com/catalog/product.jsp?src=Cook+for+the+Cure&cat=1302&prod=486 and these green canisters: http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Typhoon%2039284%20Vintage%20Small%20Canisters%20(Set%20of%203)%20-%20Green:2002897264
And lots of other pink and green stuff. Any thoughts for the wall color? It’s a small kitchen, and I want it to be light and airy.
Thanks for your advice!!!
We have an old cottage that we are renovating. Do you have ideas on where I can get affordable cabinets?
Hi there
I am located in Canada, first of all!
I just bought a 130 yr old farmhouse a few months ago. I am currently decorating it, because the previous owners did a great job of renovating it. Some minor things here and there need to be fixed, but overall it just needs some decor.
We just had a baby in July and I am staying home with her. AND we’re paying for our own wedding in September!! So my budget is about 0 to accessorize the entire house. I have all new furniture, so all I really need to do is accessorize. I just bought new towels, but need bedding, wall art, cushions, and little accessories like candle holders, curtains, etc.
Do you have any ideas for me, like DIY ideas, OR a REALLY cheap and still chic website I can check out? has to ship stuff to Canada! Also, my style is sort of modern cottage- I LOVE modern wooden & veneer stuff, farmhouse/cottage, and organic, botanical styles… ideas & websites would be appreciated!!
