Ok so here’s the problem:
Me and my mom live with this lady and lately she’s been really really rude. So my mom decided that we should move out, so we’ve been looking for places on craigslist.

So here’s when everything happens!

We found this cute little cottage out on a ranch and it has 1 bedroom. The stove is way to small and I don’t even think it has a oven. It has 2 cabinets, and when you look in the bathroom you can wash your hands, stick your foot in the tub and go to the bathroom all at the same. That’s how small it is.

We went to see it and my mom told the lady we would get back to her (this was on monday).

Well on Sunday we found this adorable duplex around the street from where were living now. We called the lady on Sunday and no answer, so my mom left her a message.

The lady got back to my mom yesterday (tuesday) and my mom made an appointment to go see it. Its a 1 bedroom, partially furnished I.e. Tv, bed, dishes, washer and dryer, refrigerator etc. And it has a little back yard and in the front there’s a wrap around drive way. My mom told the lady that she liked it a lot. The lady asked her to fill out an application and my mom did. The lady said she would call my moms references and then get back to her. We were so excited.

We got in the car and my mom called the lady from the cottage back and told her that the kitchen was just to small. The lady appreciated that she called her back and told her that her and her husband were willing to lower the security deposit so we could move in sooner etc. My mom said thank you so much, if this doesn’t work out then I will call you back. They hung.

My mom told me what was going on and I told her to call the lady back and tell her yes that we wanted to move in. After sitting in the car for awhile deciding, my mom called the lady back and told her she was positive and that she wanted the place.

They got off the phone and we were excited and planned on moving in on Friday. My mom said she would have to call the lady back from the duplex and tell her.

Well my mom hasn’t gotten a chance to call the lady back yet. The lady called my moms boss (he was one of the references). My moms boss talked to my mom and told her that the lady was planning on renting to us.

My mom instant messaged me and told me. So here’s my question: which one should we pick? The duplex or cottage? We already told the lady from the cottage we would take it. The lady from the duplex hasn’t officially told us we got it but we think we got it.

The cottage is 500 a month not furnished and no utilites included.
The duplex is 625 a month with all utilites included and partially furnished.

So again which one should we pick? The duplex or cottage?

Thanks for help in advance and plz plz give a thorough answer as to why and which one we should pick.

Thanks!

P.s. I put this in friends bc my phone wouldn’t let me pick a diff category. Sorry!
Oh and btw we don’t have beds we can take with us. We had to get rid of other bed (which me and my mom shared) bc the lady we live with now provided us with beds that she has at her house. So all the furniture we have consists of: 2 arm chairs, 4 dressers, a set of 4 dishes, and a tv set thingy to put the tv on and oh two small little tvs..

I have just purchased a cottage style home with a small kitchen. The cabinetry is honey oak and the counter top is a very light grayish blue. I have just completed removing the nasty orange wall paper and thought I was good to go on my color selection. I was going with Behr Ocean View blue on lower half of wall and Straw Hat yellow on the top half of walls and ceiling. Then I saw this lovely shade of green by Behr called Grass Cloth. I’m torn; I see possibilities with both and my accessories could work with both. Secondly, would my small kitchen look larger with one color instead being bi-colored. Your comments are welcomed.

want 2 adopt a kitten.have one older cat.husband and i purchased an old house, and are fixing it up.the rooms that are done are lovely.the rooms that are in progress look worn and old.pet adoption agency wants to do home inspection.we are well able to afford pets, just spent 0 on eye operation 4 older cat.but, this is a restored 1940′2 brick cottage, still under construction.i’m afraid i will be judged/rejected because part of the house is still being worked on.the pets would stay in the areas that are done-2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen and dining area.should we try for the kitten we want,or cancel inspection and try in 6 months or so,when complete?we have a beautiful, classic house, but we are competing with mcmansions and 8oo,ooo dollar homes-i’m afraid to be judged?????

We’ll be traveling to Rehoboth Beach in Delaware in May and need to find loding. Prefer not to stay in a hotel or motel. My preference is for a small cottage with kitchen that I can rent for a reasonable, off-season rate for about 0/day. Barring that, a nice room at a victorian-style inn for about the same price.

heres my problem. My hubby loves rustic and so do i, but i also adore country/farmhouse style. My whole issue is that i want my home to feel bright, airy and country during the day but then at night, i would love the rustic/lodgy feeling to it. i love plaids and wilderness and quilts as well…here are some examples of the country style i love…
