Long weekend in Rehoboth Beach, DE and need lodging advice.?

We’ll be traveling to Rehoboth Beach in Delaware in May and need to find loding. Prefer not to stay in a hotel or motel. My preference is for a small cottage with kitchen that I can rent for a reasonable, off-season rate for about 0/day. Barring that, a nice room at a victorian-style inn for about the same price.

Rental companies in coastal areas deal with weekly rentals not daily ones. You might find ones who are willing to deal with shorter stays during the much slower times of year (January or February), buy May is when things have begun to pick up for the summer.

Rehoboth Beach’s only Victorian-style Inn, the Boardwalk Plaza, charges $159 on weekdays starting the beginning of April. So your price range isn’t really realistic for what you want. For $100 per day in May, you’re going to have to be looking at a hotel or motel either in town or along Hwy. 1.

Renting a cottage or a cabin would be a great idea, and there are a good number of choices for rentals in the Delaware area. I’m not sure how much you are looking to spend, so I would say that it’s best to do your homework and use online research to find available places to stay that fit within your budget.

Rather than give you a specific property name and location, I would suggest that you do some research on the available houses/condos, the prices and the locations. I have used justvr.com in the past and it was quite helpful for narrowing down my choices and booking a few nights stay.
