I live in a cottage style house with many pastel colors throughout. I really wanted to lift the feeling of my kitchen. I went out on a whim and painted and decorated with VERY bright colors. Please tell me what you think, I'm still deciding how well I like it myself.

I have always loved blue and yellow together, and I think you did a good job. I love that window! I think there is enough of a contrast between the richness of the blue, the bright yellow and the stark white to make it work. Those colors by themselves have the potential to look cold, but I think you made it look very cozy and personable. If you are not walking into your kitchen and feeling 'ahh, this is my kitchen!' the only thing I would recommend is shopping for some different accents. I would nix the black strainer on the counter top, it does add a cheap feel that doesn't go in that kitchen.
and if you could find something similar in white, that would be good.
I think also if you added some puck lighting to the blue spaces above the sink, and decorated that space with maybe some blue glass bottles, and vases, that would look good. I think a cobalt blue glass accented with lighting would look really cool against the blue paint, it would stand out in an unexpected way.
One other thing that gives a kitchen a homey look is cannisters,
I think they would accent your vases & coffee cups that are in the window. I have all kinds of cannisters in my kitchen, and I think the more the merrier. They give your kitchen an elegant 'used often' look. I have really large ones that hold my coffee (like you have) my pasta and rice, which I use often, then smaller ones for bread crumbs, sugar, etc.
You might want to also consider switching out the hardware on the cabinets, maybe get a clean lined plain white handle. The gold stands out, but the traditional lines of the gold handles don't go with the feel of your vibrant kitchen.
I think you did a great job over all. Not many people can envision and pull off such a bold color pallatte, they either don't have the courage and get stuck with neutrals, or try and end up looking cartoonish. Your kitchen makes me feel like brewing some tea and having a chat. So if you have nosey neighbors, beware, they might not want to leave!
Well, if you want my honest opinion, it's just a bit too bright for me.
When I woke up in the morning to get my coffee, and I stumbled into that kitchen, it would be like someone yelling in my ear, or shining a bright light in my face.
But that's me.
It looks like a cheerful, clean, happy kitchen, and if you like it, that's all that really matters.
One thing though, I would paint the lower half of the wall the same yellow as the rest.
Leave the wainscot white..
