Stay away from fake flowers and large flower patterns. Use bold colors as accents for wood pieces. (Rust, gold, reds, etc.) and keep a neutral for the base of the room (walls a tan/ white). And grannies clutter it up, so keep it fun but don’t over stuff your room with too much. Good luck!

By keeping it simple without too many knick knacks, flowers or extra what nots. Go with the shabby chic style furniture, but keep the extras minimal.
