Decorating an elegant and luxurious bedroom?

I’m redecorating my bedroom, and I have no idea where to start in terms of colors or a theme. I can start fresh, besides my off-white cottage style furniture. I really like the elegant look, and nothing to simple or vintage-y. Thanks for the ideas!
